Conveniently located in the centre of New Zealand, this area is renowned for the stunning coves of the Marlborough Sounds, delicious gourmet food and world-famous Sauvignon Blanc wine.
Its largest city is Blenheim, located in the heart of the region amongst a landscape of golden fields and picturesque vineyards. Home to 46,000 people, Blenheim offers conference venues ranging from hotel conference rooms, stunning wineries and purpose built conventions centres catering for over 700 delegates. What’s more, the city is just 7 km from Marlborough Airport, making it easy to access by plane with daily flights from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, or by car or rail.
To the north of the region is the port town of Picton – the gateway to the stunning Marlborough Sounds and the arrival and departure point for ferries running between the South Island and Wellington, in the North Island. It is also home to some fantastic conference facilities and boutique lodges, and is the perfect place to try locally produced Greenshell Mussels or to begin a kayak, hiking or cycling adventure.
